Driver Information
|
Minimum
age is 21 depending on the vehicle size, larger vehicles have
a restriction of 25. Some suppliers will charge an "under
age" fee for these drivers. The charges can be a minimum of 7
euros per day. For some suppliers there is also a maximum age
of 79, again there will be a surcharge for these drivers.
|
Licence
|
Drivers
must have held a licence for a minimum 1 year, depending on
vehicle size.
|
Endorsements
|
Accepted
with some suppliers, minor speeding offences will need to be
checked with the supplier. The endorsements must be over 5
yrs old if drink/drug related and some suppliers will need a
deposit of around 320 euros which will not be returned if the
driver has an accident "whilst under the influence". |

Excess
|
Dependent
on the supplier: most offer no excess, but excess charges can
range from 150/300 to 754 euros depending on the size of the
car. Excess amounts for premium vehicles are charged at a
higher rate.

Excess Waiver
|
Dependent
on the supplier: most offer excess waivers and these are
charged between 4/7 to 20 euros per day, depending on the
size of the vehicle.
|
P.A.I (Personal Accident Insurance)
|
Dependent
on the supplier: most are included in the rate but sometimes
offered by our suppliers at a local rate of 4.64 - 7.25 euros
per day.

CDW & TW
|
Covered in
holiday autos' pre-paid rate. Additional insurance options
may be offered locally by suppliers.

|
Additional Driver
|
First
additional driver is free of charge and after this there is a
local charge between 4.06 euros per day to 33.86/54.81 euros
per rental, depending on the supplier. Some suppliers will
only accept the additional driver if they are over 25 years
old.
|
Delivery & Collection
|
It is on
request and only within local office opening times. This
service is also payable locally at a rate of 15-30 euros +
vat for each delivery or collection. The minimum rental
duration must be 3 days.
|
Out of hours
|
This
service is on a request basis and always charge locally. The
charges vary between 18 and 42.95 euros depending on the
supplier. Out of hours collections are only available at
certain locations.
|
Fuel Deposit
|
Fuel
deposits vary from supplier to supplier. Most of the
suppliers will offer the option: pick up full, return full. A
deposit is always required and any missing petrol will be
deducted from the deposit plus a refuelling charge. If the
vehicle is collected full and left empty, the client will pay
for the all the petrol and the charges vary between 35 euros
and 69.60 euros depending on the size of the vehicle. No
refunds will be given for unused petrol.

Use of Vehicle
|
The
vehicle must not be used for the paid transport of
passengers. |

The
vehicle must not be used to push or tow. |

The
vehicle must not be used to transport goods that infringe the
law. |
| |
The client
is responsible for any fines or penalties and must inform the
supplier of this.
|
| |
If the
vehicle documents are lost, the client must pay a fee to the
local supplier.
|
| |
The only
authorised persons to drive the vehicle are the ones stated
in the contract.
The customer should not carry more passengers than those
permitted by law.
The vehicle must not be driven off road, on an untarmacked
surface or in dangerous areas e.g. beaches, canyons etc.
The kilometer counter must not be interfered with.
It is understood that non-compliance with these regulations
will void the insurance.

Documentation
|
The
vehicle documents must be kept safe and in the vehicle at all
times.
|
Personal
Data
|
The
supplier will hold your personal data relating to the rental
for legal reasons.
